Astoria Ford is currently seeking a well-qualified full time Parts Sales and Back Counter Coordinator. This position will drive positive growth in our parts and service department. This role will help increase parts sales by selling parts over the counter, creating new customer relationships, and maintaining existing ones. Additionally, this role will assist in inventory control by issuing parts to the mechanics and the shop floor.Â
The ideal person for the job will be someone who can generate parts sales by engaging our current customer base. Selling parts to walk in customers, over the phone and ordering parts not in stock. This person will also have the ability to process parts requests from the mechanic on the shop floor, pull those parts from the parts inventory and ensure those parts get properly applied to the correct repair order.Â
Requirements:Â
-previous parts sales experience
-knowledge of automotive parts and operations
-computer skills
-preferred experience in use of a dealer management system (DMS/Dealertrack)
-preferred experience using a parts catalog system
-excellent organizational skills especially applied toward customer follow up.Â
-excellent communication skills, comfortable networking within the company to learn and problem solve.Â
-high school diploma or GED; further education is a plus
-must have a valid driver's license with a CLEAN driving record.Â
